2025 QUEBEC GREAT BIG CRUNCH!

The Great Big Crunch is an annual event that raises the awareness of the importance of healthy school food and highlights the need for a universal healthy school food program alongside quality food education.

In October 2025, the Quebec Chapter is launching Quebec's Great Big Crunch, the first edition designed to engage all schools including students, teachers, parents, organizations, and partners in Quebec.

Grab your crunchy fruit or vegetable and take a big bite with your friends, colleagues, or students to show your support for healthy school food!

On October 16, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., World Food Day, join hundreds of students in Quebec to crunch together on a fresh fruit or vegetable during the Virtual Great Big Crunch!

The program includes:

  • Fun, sensory activities to get students moving, laughing, and engaging their senses around food.

  • A simultaneous crunch at the very end — a special moment to share together.

Not available on that date? No worries! Organize your own Crunch event in your classroom, school, or community anytime during September or October — the beautiful harvest season.
